Helen Beard X Felt Culture
Felt Culture collaborates with British artist Helen Beard who is known for her work exploring themes relating to gender, sexual psychology and eroticism; always unapologetic in her depictions of female desire. She wields colour, texture and abstraction as tools to take back ownership of sexual imagery from the predominantly male gaze.
Working collaboratively to recreate Helen Beard’s ‘Temporarily Banishing Isolation’ (2019) as a limited-edition bag crafted from Danish fabric that is smooth, directionless and uniform in a manner very similar to wool felt.
With rounded edges and a soft cotton Liberty-print lining, it has been made to be enjoyed as a sensual experience.
The bag can be worn over the shoulder or across the body with a compressed felt strap that adapts to three different lengths.
